Asynchrony found a new home in a historic 19th century warehouse (Cupples 9) in the heart of downtown St. Louis. The 7 story building, next door to Busch Stadium, was renovated to preserve its natural brick facade and heavy timber framing. Utilizing the top 2 floors of the building, the open office concept was infused with various design elements to promote spontaneous collaboration. The Design area within the open office is identified by a fabric sail “tent” – reminiscent of the Big Top. Although a great way to identify the group, it has a functional aspect too as it helps with blocking the sun from the existing clerestory windows. A custom cabin at the entry of the office is not only a small meeting place, but includes a round display for the “Bobble Head” world of Asynchrony – a fun way to celebrate employees who are tenured in the company. A mixture of glass, warm woods, cloth sail dividers and unique finishes all lend a hand to promote the company’s unique and collaborative style.
